​Dear Parents/Guardians, 

I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Winter Break.  It has been a long and crazy 2020 but
it is finally coming to an end and we can look forward to 2021.  Hopefully that will be a much
better year for everyone.  Enjoy your break!

Pre-k classes will start in person on January 11, 2021 if you opted for In Person Learning.  All
pre-k parents will receive more information the week of January 4, 2021.

School will be closed during the break and there are no on line classes from 2:45pm today until
7:45am on January 4, 2021.  Progress reports will be sent out from CPS during the break.

As we close out 2020 I would like to once again thank everyone for persevering through these
unusual times and circumstances.  Without your cooperation and patience we would not have
been able to do what we have done since last March.  You are the backbone of Durkin Park and I
am truly grateful for all of you, parents, teachers, staff and students.

Quiero desearles a todos unas felices y seguras vacaciones de invierno. Ha sido un 2020
largo y loco, pero finalmente está llegando a su fin y podemos esperar el 2021. Ojalá sea un año
mucho mejor para todos. Disfruta tu descanso.

Las clases de prekínder comenzarán en persona el 11 de enero de 2021 si optó por el aprendizaje
en persona. Todos los padres de prekínder recibirán más información la semana del 4 de enero de
2021.

La escuela estará cerrada durante el receso y no habrá clases en línea desde las 2:45 p.m. de hoy
hasta las 7:45 a.m. de 4 de enero de 2021. CPS enviara informes de progreso durante el receso.

Al cerrar 2020, me gustaría agradecer una vez más a todos por perseverar en estos tiempos y
circunstancias inusuales. Sin su cooperación y paciencia no habríamos podido hacer lo que
hemos hecho desde marzo pasado. Ustedes son la columna vertebral de Durkin Park y estoy
realmente agradecido con todos ustedes, padres, maestros, personal y estudiantes.
