Dear Parent/Guardian,

I wanted to inform you of an incident that was brought to my attention that happened in the neighborhood last night.  A parent of a former student came to my office this morning to let me know that her son and some of his friends were robbed at gunpoint on 84th and Kostner at 7:00pm.  They were on their way home from being at the park when they were approached by two young men, one of whom brandished a gun, and were forced to give them their phones and a sweater one of the boys was wearing.  The robbers made off with three phones and a White Hoodie with “HOLLISTER” written across the front in black lettering. A police report was filed and the police have a good lead on who the robbers were. Hopefully, they will be apprehended soon.  I just wanted to let you know so you can remember to keep an eye out for your children as they walk around the neighborhood.

Quería informarles de un incidente ocurrido anoche en el vecindario.  El padre de un ex alumno vino a mi oficina esta mañana para informarme que su hijo y algunos de sus amigos fueron robados a punta de pistola en la 84 y Kostner a las 7:00 pm. Se dirigían a su casa desde el parque cuando se les acercaron dos jóvenes, uno de los cuales le mostró una pistola, y se vieron obligados a entregarles sus teléfonos y un suéter que llevaba uno de los muchachos.  Los ladrones huyeron con tres teléfonos y una sudadera con capucha blanca con "HOLLISTER" escrito en el frente con letras negras. Se presentó un informe policial y la policía tiene una buena idea de quiénes eran los ladrones. Esperemos que sean detenidos pronto. Solo quería hacerle saber para que recuerde vigilar a sus hijos cuando caminan por el vecindario.
